New chooks home now!

Post by boaters » 10 Feb 2018, 16:14

Picked up my 5 at lunchtime - we had a lovely chortley conversation all the way home! Been 3 years without - almost forgotten what it was like! So I now have 2 light browns (bit like warrens), 2 black rocks and a sussex star. Haven't had a white one before. They're not used to perching so they're really funny on their wobbly legs - bit like me on ice skates! Miscanthus on the floor of the coop and I've scattered some corn - really inquisitive and pecking away merrily, so looks like they're not too perturbed with the journey home. Can't wait to let them out into the run tomorrow :)
