Finally - a baby blanket!

Post by jaydee67 » 21 May 2011, 17:51

This started life as a crocheted sleeved sleeping bag for a friend who's just had a baby girl. The pattern was tight so I ripped it back and restarted it with a larger hook. After about 6 inches I decided it was too narrow for a baby to move in so I would make it into squares for a blanket. The first 2 squares took an age so I decided to try a different pattern for the other 2 squares, a 3D flower with a plain background. I have done these before but used a new pattern, the change from flower to background didn't make sense to me so got ripped back. using my own way for the transfer I then returned to the pattern and had nearly finished the first square in it when I realised I had a diamond instead of a square (too many stitches in the corners I discovered!) - more ripping back! Gritting my teeth I carried on, I quite like it now it's finished!
